Since 2011, HIP staff has conducted more than 350 site visits and helped over 180 homeowners install water quality projects. HIP has invested more than $850,000 into reimbursements to participating property owners who purchased materials and labor from more than 150 local businesses and contractors. Perpetual phosphorus reduction resulting directly from HIP projects, to date, is estimated at about 28 pounds per year.
